Is there a way to get a view of a 3D body or assembly into a MS Word Document? Thanks, Eddie

If you're using unix, you can use screen capture to save a tiff file of the viewport. You can then FTP to a pc and edit the file there. If you have Paint Shop Pro or similar, you can open the file and save as a JPG or BMP. BR Martin Duffy

We use a program called SolidTools that has been put out by VDS. This program reads from SolidDesigner and is a OLE compliant package, so you can insert into any windows package.

Running SolidDesigner on NT you simply need to press the "Print Scrn" key to copy a screen dump to the clipboard. Then "paste" the clipboard content to eg "paint" or PaintShop Pro or...

Eddie, Sure there are several ways. It depends on what hardware that you are running. On Unix use "capture screen" located under Digital media in the Application manager. It will offer many output options ie. Tiff, Gif,BMP etc. I usually use tiff. Then go to word and use Insert/Picture/From file On the PC you can do a Shift/Print screen (next to F12) then paste in word. You will get the entire screen including the Solid Designer menus but they can be croped out in word. Dan
