Does anyone know if CoCreate is planning to update thier .dxf translator for ACAD R14?

If you want to make DWG outputfiles with your DXF translator, I think you get unhappy. The "new" dxf-translator that comes with version 8.7 (Win NT) does only support the DXF and the IGES formats, so if you want the possibility of making DWG's after an upgrade, you must save your current translator at a safe location. - but it handle long filenames...... :-) By the way..... Users of Autocad Lite have problems with reading DXF-files generated with the CoCreate DXF-translator. Bye Poul S. Berthelsen psb@pjm.dk

Randy: At the 1998 Users Conference we were told that version 9.0 of ME10, which is due out early next year, will be able to translate version 13 and 14 of AutoCAD. Lets keep our fingers crossed!!!

You can now import and export ACAD R14 dwg files with ME10 rev 8.70d. Note you must load the "d" version which I recently downloaded off of the Cocreate site. There are files in this download that replace some std 8.7 files.

Our company uses ME10 8.7 & 9 and Mechanical Desktop. The translator that came with ME10 9 will only convert to acad rel.12 and Autocad dwg's must be saved as R12 dxf before conversion to Me10.
