Hello group, I want import some ME10 data in a Word document. My current solution is to save the ME10 file in DXF format with ME10 software, and import DXF file in Word. But, when I import directly this DXF file (with Word), I have a lot of loss. Can you tell me how to convert ME10 files to WMF without loss of data ? Notice 1 : I have'nt got an AutoCAD license. Notice 2 : Sorry, but I am french and my english is certainly not skakespearian. Thanks. David.

David, I had the same problem, and I found the easiest way was to use the CAPTURE utility in toolbox to take screenshots. UNIX saves them as a TIFF file. These can be transferred to the PC and edited with PHOTOSHOP, Paint shop pro, or the like. I also find that if you then save them as JPG`s, they take up very little room. Use the negative command to change the black background to white. I hope this helps, Regards, Martin Duffy

If you only had ME10 for win95...plot to..>>clipboard (option) is just great!! then paste ..drawing is in clipboard as WMF file.

I have also written out an HGL file (which is simply writting out a plot file). Word lets you read in an HGL file.

Dave, We import ME10 drawings/sketches into our MS Word documents by using hpgl format, they come in very clean. We use ME10's plot menu. Under the the configure menu pick a printer you do not use a lot and make the following changes. Plotter type:7550 Plot Destination: xxxxx.hgl (where xxxxx is a valid dos name) Select "delete old" if you want to write over existing files you created. Set the directory you want to print to by having it as your active directory in filemanager. Under ME10's plot menu, scale = fit, rotate = 0, paper size = A Then just hit plot and a hpgl file will be generated in the directory you selected. Good Luck. Dan Davis

I USE THE PAPERPORT SOFTWARE TO CAPTURE THE 'DXF' IMAGE IN THE MICROSOFT WORD. AFTER IT CAPTURE THE IMAGE FROM THE WORD SOFTWARE, THE NEW IMAGE IN PAPERPORT WILL BE BLACK AND WHITE AUTOMATCIALLY - NO COLORS. - SHARP BLACK LINES - VERY ACCURATE! -BOARDHEAD
