Due to the low activity on many of the forums, people who opened a forum for viewing would see only a few threads or no threads at all. This is because the default was to show only threads with activity in the last 30 days. I changed this to 365 days for all the forums in the General and Applications categories. I changed it to 1000 (show all) for the regional user group forums which get even less activity. If the activity in any forum increases to the point these settings open too many pages, we can always reduce it in the future.
I think this change will reduce confusion. New people visiting the forums might not realize that there are more threads than what is presented by the default view. This way they will see a reasonable number of threads.
