How should we handle Enhancement Request threads which have been added?

I received a note concerning an Enhancement Request in the Archives which had been added to the Annotation. In fact there are many of these since there was never any process for removing Enhancement Requests which had been added to the applications in the old newsgroup. I believe someone even posted an Enhancement Request to clean this up.

So I would like some feedback from other members of this forum. Should we have a policy for removing old Enhancement Request threads once they have been added to the application? Or would it be better to leave them for posterity and just flag them some how, maybe adding (DONE) to the thread title. Please vote and post your thoughts as replies.

Not that I'm trying to create more work for John (or who ever gets the fun of moderating the ER forum) ;) but maybe we should add Done in rev X to the thread title. This would help with two issues: knowing when the fix occured and clarifying that a feature someone added as an ER already is addressed in the current release. We do occasionally get ER's that are really just a user not realizing that certain functionality already exists.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with Stacy to list which rev contains the ER. It would certainly help those of us that are perpetually at least one release behind, if not two. *sigh*

I also thought about to make the thread "read only" afterwards. But question to the then new *existing* functionality should be kept in the same thread IMHO.

I think the idea of adding "Done in Rev x.x" to the titles is a good one and it got the most votes. So now that the Newsgroup Archives are fixed we will go with this process.

This is something that everyone can help with, especially the CoCreate people who may know off the top of their heads exactly when an enhancement was added. If you spot an enhancement request which has already been added to the application, click the Report this post to a moderator button at the bottom of the post to let us know. If you know in which rev it was added, include that information as well. A best guess at the rev is OK, but let us know that it is only a guess if you don't know for sure.
